Be kind to your environment. Use a bilum.

PNG bilums (string bags) which are stitched, not crocheted or knitted, are the bags for any/all occasions. It is so amazingly magical in that it will expand and take as much weight as one can carry. These bags are specifically useful where you need a free hand to push your stroller/pram or wheelchair. It can be hung on your shoulder, across your stroller/pram, wheelchair or shopping trolley. Just put your shopping in an empty bag, empty contents at counter and reload as each item goes through the check out point. What can be more convenient than a bilum.
